What Should Your Cat Be Eating?

Contrary to popular belief, cats are actually quite loving and affectionate creatures. You do have to do your fair share of work to get them to like you though, which means: pay attention to their food! One thing I learned after getting a cat was that cats are very finicky about their food. You need to know exactly what they want and feed them accordingly or else you’ll end up on an episode of “My cat from hell.”

As a cat mother, I struggled during the first few weeks on what to feed my baby. After learning her habits, I finally figured it out. Ever since then, my cat won’t leave my side!

Kitty Food Troubles

Most pet mommies and daddies struggle with cat diets. While each breed of cat has a very different diets, one thing that should be in your kitty’s diet is meat!

It’s really a no brainer how cats are strictly carnivores which means, your cat absolutely needs meat! There’s no way around it. I know some people who are vegetarians and try to impose their dietary choices on their cats. But, let me tell you, they’re putting their kitten’s health at risk by doing so! While dogs can handle omnivorous diets without any problems, cats need meat. There are certain nutrients and vitamins that they can only get from meat.

But, that doesn’t mean you feed them raw meat. Surprised? I was too when I went to an expert nutritionist for my kitten. While wild cats are accustomed to consuming raw meat, domesticated cats end up with problems like Salmonella.

If you’re still iffy about your kitten’s diets, contact an expert to learn what would be the best diet for your cat’s breed. Remember, kitty health always comes first!
