If you have pets, then you know how important bath time is for them. You also know that the wrong synthetic product could harm them, instead of leaving them clean. That is why you should only use homemade shampoos for both your pet cats and dogs.

These recipes are easy to make and not full with chemicals like the many commercial shampoos out there. Here are two examples, one for dogs and one for cats for you to try out! Enjoy 🙂

Cat Shampoo

Ingredients

2 quarts Warm Water

80 ml Apple cider vinegar

80 ml Glycerin

Instructions

Grab a big bowl or a pitcher where you can mix all the ingredients.

Pour them into the bowl and mix well.

When you start bathing your cat, rinse it with plain warm water first.

Now, pour the shampoo slowly down the spine of your cat.

With your hands, work it into the fur.

Rinse with warm water, making sure no shampoo is left behind.

Towel dry your cat and put them in a warm spot where they can dry themselves the rest of the way.

Dog Shampoo

Ingredients

6-8 tbsp Unscented natural soap

8 cups Hot water

2 cups Apple cider vinegar

Bottle to store the shampoo

Instructions

Mix the soap and water in a bowl. You can use solid or liquid soap for this purpose. Keep mixing until the solid dissolves, if using the solid version.

Next, add in the vinegar and mix again.

Keep the shampoo in a bottle when not in use.
